What is Invisalign used to correct?
Invisalign is used to correct crooked, jumbled, overly-spaced teeth and malpositioning of the teeth that can later cause problems such as gum conditions, overcrowding , grinding and clenching of the teeth and teeth that break or chip due to misalignment.
What is the process of getting your Invisalign ?
The dentist will take an x-ray and do an oral evaluation to look at the placement of the teeth. This step is instrumental in determining if you are a candidate for Invisalign based upon your teeth positioning, bone and gum structure, and gum condition. Then, a full mouth scan will be done via a simulation to determine the length of the treatment, and how many aligners are required to shift the teeth. Before pictures are taken and submitted to Invisalign, and the comparison of the before and after appearance becomes available.
Once the aligners are ordered, the Invisaligncompany fabricates the custom aligner trays, specifically designed for your mouth. Aligners must be worn for a minimum of 22 hours per day, each aligner lasting for several weeks. Each sequential aligner slowly moves the teeth to the ideal location; helping you get the beautiful smile you deserve.
